General Rules for DZC
- Keep the opponent Outside The Box
- Unless the puck is free Take The Man
- Know where the puck is At All Times
- Keep net area clear - Let netminder SEE the puck
- Only ONE man BEHIND the net
- Freeze all shots on goal unless transition to offence is possible
- TALK and COMMUNICATE at ALL TIMES
- NEVER be outnumbered in your Defensive Zone
